We're having a sale on art from the Xico collection at the Xico gallery. We do that regularly to rotate some of the older art out and make room for new art (so much art!). This time we're making a special effort to get the word out. Because we would rather have the art owned by people who will love it instead of sitting in our drawers. Because there are plenty of people out there who would love to have original pieces by local artists, but don't realize they can afford it. So we created a series of ads that we hope will get some attention, they're a little quirky, a little funny. Take a look here and please let us know what you think.

Today I want to highlight a great way for nonprofits to actually afford the technology they need to do business. It’s impossible for nonprofits to get anything done without a minimum of working computers for word processing and email. But these things can be expensive and so can special kinds of software that help nonprofits operate.
Here's our solution.

It’s been a week since Facebook switch over all pages to the new timeline format. Many nonprofits chose to switch earlier, of course, and Facebook provided some pretty comprehensive tools to explain the new look.

There’s a new resource for artists and art historians looking for information on Latin American art. The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston and several other organizations teamed up to preserve “the stories behind Latino art” (see New York Times article here).
